Everyone in Atlanta deserves a smoke-free workplace.

Even brief exposure to secondhand smoke can be harmful to health. No one should have to choose between their health and their job.

I support making the City of Atlanta smoke-free, and I urge the Mayor of Atlanta and the Atlanta City Council to pass an ordinance making all workplaces, including restaurants, bars and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport smoke-free.

It's Time for a Smoke-Free Atlanta!

With so much to offer, Atlanta is quickly becoming the global beacon of the medical and public health communities. Atlanta is home not only to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention but also houses the global headquarters of the American Cancer Society. We must ensure that our own place in the world is as healthy as possible, and we must be a positive role model to other cities around the globe.

What is Smoke-free ATL?

Smoke-free Atlanta is a broad coalition of organizations spearheading the effort to protect everyone who lives, works, and plays in ATL from the dangers of secondhand smoke.

Why Should ATL Be Smoke-free?

Everyone who works in ATL should be able to work in a smoke-free environment — bartenders, entertainers, musicians, everyone. The same is true for anyone spending time in Midtown, the West End, Buckhead Atlantic Station, downtown, and everywhere else in the city — the air should be clear for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.
